The Lake Township Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with Teresa Miller’s Lake Local Schools Legal Studies Class to produce a voter education initiative named Lake Votes 2010. With the backdrop of the One Room Schoolhouse curated by the Lake Twp Historical Society, Legal Studies students interviewed candidates running for political office in positions such as County Auditor, 16th District Congress, Ohio House of Representatives, County Commissioner, County Auditor and the Gubernatorial Race for Ohio Governor as well.

The Lake High School Interactive Media class taped and edited the candidate interviews under the direction of Frank Spotleson & Media Technician Carl Palmer. These videos will be up soon for voters to learn more about the candidates before they go to the polls in November.

The project was recently featured in a story published by the Canton Repository.
